Except for the "Bunkhouse Rental Only" option, you will find the bunkhouse fully stocked with food items you select from a list we send you, and will be able to fix your own breakfast and lunch at your leisure. All evening meals are prepared by us and served in the main house. Plan on arriving at the ranch between 4 pm and 6 pm, in time for supper (around 6 pm) - departure by 10 am. (This allows us time to prepare the bunkhouse for new arrivals - keep in mind we have no hired staff!) No ranch activities on day of arrival and departure. We cannot serve alcoholic beverages at supper, but you are welcome to bring your own. The rates do not include any admission tickets or meals taken at any area events we may go to, such as rodeos etc. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Cancellation policy: cancellation 90 days or more from scheduled arrival date - full refund less $100 cancellation fee which is retained; cancellation within 90 days of scheduled arrival date - full deposit retained.
This area is true cattle ranching country and does not offer many "tourist sites". However, there are some places of interest within driving distance, as well as summer horse/rodeo activities.
Safety first! With the somewhat rugged terrain, steep hills and canyons, we require that you have some prior riding experience, and out of concern for the horses, that you weigh no more than 230 lb. and be in reasonably good physical condition. You need to wear boots with well defined heels - tennis shoes or hiking boots are neither safe nor acceptable. We recommend the use of a riding helmet, and have on hand a few helmets that meet ASTM/SEI standards. We cannot keep on hand enough helmets of every size and therefore suggest that you bring your own if you wish to wear one. Guests will be required to read and sign a Liability Release before being allowed to go horseback riding. Go here for Guest Comments.
